Request an AppointmentMeghan takes a very proactive, but objective approach to each client she works with and provides the skills clients need to survive and be successful in the real world. Meghan has worked within the counseling profession for over 20 years. Her experience includes providing individual, couples, family, group, crisis, and substance abuse counseling. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa in Anthropology and Psychology and her graduate degree from Bradley University in Human Development/Community Counseling.
Meghan has worked in a number of different settings including: mental health hospitals, residential treatment centers, state social services, private practice, and therapeutic day schools. She has a strong foundation of providing care to children, teens, adults, couples, and families utilizing different therapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy.
Meghan is a member of the American Counseling Association, the Illinois Counseling Association, Illinois Mental Health Counselors Association, Chi Sigma Iota (Counseling Fraternity), and Phi Kappa Phi (Honors Fraternity). She is also licensed in the state of Illinois as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors as a National Certified Counselor (NCC). Additionally, Meghan is a Level 2 trained Gottman Therapist for relationship counseling.
