Request an AppointmentAmy's therapy style utilizes a holistic and collaborative approach with a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy. She has experience with children, adolescents/teens, and families with severe and high functioning behavioral and/or emotional disabilities such as attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety, depression, oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and bipolar disorder. Additionally, Amy provides emotional interventions and mindfulness approaches when needed. When working with clients she utilizes empathy, open-mindedness, problem-solving skills, collaboration, and flexibility to meet the client where they are on their therapeutic journey.
Each client is unique and comes with their own specific set of needs, strengths, and challenges. She believes it is important to work with each client to customize their goals, treatment, and therapy journey. Amy's goal is to help her clients work towards embracing self-love by becoming the best version of themselves and to be healthy and happy mentally, emotionally, and physically.
Amy attended Benedictine University, where she studied Psychology and completed her postgraduate advanced degree at Roosevelt University. She holds a certification for Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) and is Gottman Method Level 1 trained for couples therapy.
